New Age thinking has brought in extra dimensions of thought regarding the Astral Plane. Many consider it to be a place where the soul goes after death. It is also considered to be the place where dreams are housed and it is here where we go during meditation. There are also out of body experiences which many people claim took them to the Astral. This author wishes to keep an open mind. When "The Meadow" was written by Elfreda and myself, we used The Astral as a reference to The Middle Place -- a dimension where souls go to rest in between lives. These are the people who have a purpose which means living out another life on the Earth plane. "The Meadow" is a celestial watering hole for those souls whose physical agendas are yet unfinished. - Mike O'Hare

A ripple of creative intention washed over the heavens stimulating
the ether into response as it quietly heaved in recognition of the familiar energy surge. It shook gently, expecting the approaching wave and anticipating the impact of its magnificent power. Lethargic from ageless sleep - awareness stirred reluctantly, at first only registering the ripple - incapable still of fully answering the call. The undisturbed rhythm of the universe is relentless creation - ripples and waves of energy converging and disappearing into one another in a mesmerizing flow of becoming.
Nothing ultimately resists the beauty of its timeless tempo. Precursors of this brilliant, original frequency emanates from source as its awareness is aroused from the furthest outskirts of eternity - begging the exchange of convalescence for adventures of the unknown. In incalculable dimensions the cosmic reverie slowly came to an end and awareness stirred more deeply - this time all heeded the call.
Then the wave, like a heavenly tsunami, lifted up and gained strength - its momentum coming from the highest celestial spaces as it peaked and reared, suspended in eternity before tumbling down in a soundless roar. Its power sparked light upon light as it gathered awareness in its wake and purposely headed down towards the stark, astral levels.
Consciousness in all its forms caught in the crest of the wave advanced together towards the ostensibly impenetrable wall of the astral in a sea of blinding light. All were forced into a swirl of oblivion as we streaked across the bleak astral plains towards becoming. Provoked by subtle desire, only faint awareness of a mission manifested. The power and thrust of the wave barred all resistance and sucked individual yearning temporarily into a maelstrom of undefined, creative urge.
Then the wave released its cargo of energy and awareness with a silent crash onto the farthest shores of this lower density where the newly dead and the dreamers mauled around together in cosmic confusion.
In the absence of language and communication only awareness of formless existence remained. Untold nucleuses of light had been left on this desolate landscape of a nether world devoid of any direction. Then stronger stirrings of desire registered as more pertinent feelings, a need to move through the membrane of separation.
Consciousness defined itself as a longing, a dim memory from eons ago. A thought wrapped in vibrations of feeling, held in creative anticipation, drifted effortlessly through the invisible wall of the unseen and manifested quietly inside a room where a toddler sat on the floor, dressed in a diaper only.
It appeared interested in the presence of the energy it felt for it looked up and smiled, fleetingly intrigued, but was easily distracted by some other movement and quickly lost interest. Awareness recognized the child as a future sibling, an older brother.
A strong desire then pulled my awareness into another room where a man sat waiting and I surrounded him with my presence, aware of the strong desire to remain close. My future father didn't see the energy; only felt the vibration and smiled as if remembering something that gave him pleasure.
As another body entered the room and picked the baby up, an immediate resistance registered within my awareness as a strong urge to abort the mission and return to the shores of the astral. But the membrane, previously soft and yielding, remained locked.
In the darkness of the room the sexual act was in progress and individualized awareness waited unperturbed for the appropriate moment to move through both of their bodies as my consciousness became naturally attracted to a shining, silver object within her womb.
Intuition indicated to wait there. Then through the darkness a river of brilliant florescent tadpoles approaching at the speed of light rushed towards us, each clamouring to be the first to reach the star. But my energy was quicker and more refined in anticipating first contact.
The ferocious first entry was suddenly halted as it became suspended in the void of our star. My being participated fully in conception by swiftly giving off a soft blue hue, instantly sealing the egg off. So many millions more crashed and burned in the darkness against the impenetrable wall, summarily extinguishing their light - they all needed the star for survival.
Frenetic, fervent activity inside the star took over as cells began to divide and grow. Finally it drifted silently through her womb to locate an appropriate place to dock, attaching itself to the wall. Then "I" was recognized for the first time and I knew her to be female, encrypted with a healthy body and agile mind. "I" thus returned to the astral, leaving the code, the pattern behind within the biological brain of the baby girl.
Many journeys were made from without to within. I felt the host's energy very powerfully, how she resented the inevitable growth of the child. Only eighteen months after the first, this one was too soon and was not planned. No identification could be made with the host during this time of constant observation and evaluation. The umbilical cord did not register feelings of anticipation or joy. When the time came to emerge physically into the world, the pattern of remaining quiet was already set as a way of protection.

THE MEADOW -- A SPIRITUAL ROMANCE
"The Meadow" is an epic love story unlike anything told before. The storyline threads an earthly path through four life times, from ancient Mexica to contemporary Pakistan, and affords the reader glimpses of a place known as "The Meadow" - an inter-life waterhole where souls rest between lives.
This is a story about life and all its complexities. It is about the eternal love of two characters that seem destined to be together but who repeatedly fail to bond due to a nemesis that tracks them from life to life, tearing them apart.
The stage of "The Meadow" includes hate and retribution, international espionage and political deceit, interspersed with the brilliance of an autistic savant, offspring of the female protagonist, who tries to solve the secret and mystery of the eagle in order to save his mother.
The frustrated lovers thus have only one option - to unite in the Meadow - a place they forget all about each time they incarnate into a new life.
This site is dedicated to "The Meadow", a book of more than 600 pages and has yet to be published, but it is also devoted to sharing information about life beyond the trapdoor of death, inviting the reader to question everything, from dogmatic beliefs to the establishment.
