AN INVESTIGATION INTO A BRUTAL KILLING dont call the police just yet

"The Meadow" - a great love story

A novel of 600 pages

This is all about "The Meadow". I will be describing how it came to be written. The title to this page (above) is just a tease to lead you into part of this amazing storyline. The novel is as unique, as the characters are special.

The picture to the right isn't meant to give the impression that it is the book cover. You will find that further down this page.

However, it IS meant to convey the feeling and energy that was behind the two authors as they wrote this tale of love and devastation that covered many thousands of years.

The Meadow seeks recognition

"The Meadow" is seeking its rightful place amongst the bookshelves with all the other fantastic works of fiction.

The physical meadow versus the celestial watering hole called "The Meadow"

Which would you choose?

To the left is a beautiful photo of a real meadow somewhere. Once you begin to read "The Meadow" your mind will possibly take you to another world and let you experience a meadow from another dimension - a celestial watering hole where souls go to rest between physical lives.

Observe the painting painting below and see what conjures in the minds of the two authors who wrote "The Meadow".

The Feathers - the magic behind "The Meadow"

A novel waiting for publication

This is how the story begins, with a legend, where two tail feathers are cast from an eagle and an owl in an aerial display. To the right is a close up depicting them in the painting of "The Meadow" and below are the real feathers, framed to celebrate the completion of "The Meadow".

By all means be shocked at what you read, but try to understand the implication behind the concept

Police were called to a top apartment opposite Martha's delicatessen and coffee shop in Soho early today. A woman, presumed to be a prostitute, had been violently and sexually assaulted and then strangled to death with her own underwear.

Investigations are underway and it is believed that a large balding man with a heavy Russian accent was in the building around the same time that she was murdered. Her name is Justine Oliver and she hails from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

It is not known whether she knew the man, but according to a neighbour, who lived just below Ms Oliver's penthouse suite, it is claimed that he had had an ‘appointment' to see her. DCI James Woods, who is in charge of the investigation, has warned all women who live in the area to be extremely careful.

"This man is very dangerous and must not be approached," he told The Evening Standard. According to the investigating officer, Ms Oliver hardly knew what had hit her, judging by the horrendous marks that were visible all over her body.

However, there's no need to panic, because this report is the discovery that follows a passage taken from "The Meadow". Although it doesn't appear at first glance, because of this horrendous description, it is a novel about undying love. The literal term is ‘undying' because the two protagonists in the story share a long and passionate history between them.

This book which is waiting for the right opportunity to be published has a very powerful message. To anyone who has a mindset that is left open to all possibilities "The Meadow" conveys hope beyond measure. It graphically illustrates how love and life can live on for ever as two young souls find themselves drawn together, stemming from a life that was shared from beyond antiquity.

As the story draws itself into the twenty first century, it brings with it all the expected trappings that accompany modern life and this does not exclude extreme violence. The storyline is realistic and believable and will leave the reader breathless and desperate to read on.

The idea of past lives, or reincarnation, is not new. However, there are those who would pour scorn on a story that they cannot prove has any relevance to life as we know it. The love that binds the story together is potent in its complexity as our two heroes find themselves dogged by a maniac who has stalked them throughout eternity.

Ironically this nemesis seems to have won the day far too often in the distant and recent past. Now that they have all found themselves again living a life in the twenty first century, unknowingly carrying their same agendas, can our two lovers thwart the threat that has cursed them throughout history?

"The Meadow" is a must-read, can't-put-down, novel and is just waiting for that big break when all hell is going to let loose. Who will be the first to claim that this book and everything that it represents, was meant to be written and deserves its rightful place on the bookshelves of all the large stores around the world?

So who was the killer and what happened to him? All we can reveal so far is that his name is Dmitri and he lived to tell the tale. But that is not the end of the story. Nor is it the beginning.

Meet Chong-ba

This man is very spiritual and has wisdom beyond imagination

He lives in exile, leaving behind a very high profile which the Establishment want to see put among the X-files. He doesn't serve the purpose that the West is aiming for and as a consequence he is hounded by the likes of the CIA and MI6.

He humbly dwells at the foot of the snowy peaks of the Himalayas in a humble cabin perched high above a rocky gorge.

Chong-ba thought that his life could be made simple again. However, that was before a man called Tom Norman, after a gruelling climb to his remote cabin, came to see him unannounced.

But the monk knew that Tom was coming.

The eagle told him so.

Three beautiful creatures

They all feature in "The Meadow"

Some of the locations used in "The Meadow"

Get a feel for the story when you see some of the locations that are used

All the places mentioned in "The Meadow" are real, even Thorp Pelkington which you will not find on a map no matter how detailed. Here are just some of them. Watch out for more in other lenses.

The picture to the right is typical of what the main male hero would observe in one of his lifetimes. This is an African sunset and after a hard day's work of hunting and maintaining and protecting his village, Sekayi would settle down to an evening spent with his beautiful daughter Nyasha.

Sekayi's village was threatened by wild predators and a predator of another kind - man.

The Meadow novel

A story of undying love over thousands of years through many different lives

A novel written with a message for the modern world. It's time to start realizing that there is more to life than what our five physical senses relay to us. Release your conditioned mind and understand that life is eternal, whether it be in the mind, the soul or the body. Life goes on regardless, and we follow it every step of the way.

I don't claim to be the world's greatest blogger. On the contrary, I'm learning all the time. I will improve immensely if I get feedback which either supports or challenges what I write. Either way, this is the experience that I seek.

Is gratuitous violence acceptable in modern fiction as long as it is appropriate and necessary to the storyline?

Watch out for my personal avatar

The Phoenix rising from the ashes combined with an outline of a female's head

In 1986 I was under a great deal of stress. My mother was dying of cancer and I was undergoing horrendous business relationships with my equal partner.

My mother died, coinciding with my decision to go it alone and break the partnership and form a new business.

I commemorated this by designing this emblem/logo in memory of my late mother and in recognition of a new start in business.

It has remained with me ever since and has accompanied many articles that I have written, as well as being the company logo that accompanied all business administration.

This is the avatar of my co-author, Elfreda Pretorius

A little girl picking up a baby sparrow

"Sparrow in my hand" is the personal Avatar of my writing partner, Elfreda.

Drawn by her son, it commemorates a turning point in her life when that same son, at the age of seven, overcame life threatening injuries sustained in an accident.

This is his vision of his mother as a little girl, wondering how to save a baby sparrow that fell from its nest - the same way she wondered how to help him survive all those years ago.

"Sparrow in my hand" is the book of his healing they intend to write in the near future.

Gone are the days when a publisher is likely to read your submissions.

If you are a new author your material stands very little chance of being looked at.

Only the successful present authors and the rich and famous and high profile politicians and sports people have this privilege.

So here goes my lists of articles from The Meadow Home Page for you to follow regarding a great love story that spans over thousands of years.

I hope you can get something from all of them and then, one day, come back and ask me where you can find the book.

"The Meadow" is an epic love story unlike anything told before. The storyline threads an earthly path through four life times, from ancient Mexica to contemporary Pakistan, and affords the reader glimpses of a place known as "The Meadow" - an inter-life waterhole where souls rest between lives.

This is a story about life and all its complexities. It is about the eternal love of two characters that seem destined to be together but who repeatedly fail to bond due to a nemesis that tracks them from life to life, tearing them apart.

The stage of "The Meadow" includes hate and retribution, international espionage and political deceit, interspersed with the brilliance of an autistic savant, offspring of the female protagonist, who tries to solve the secret and mystery of the eagle in order to save his mother.

The frustrated lovers thus have only one option - to unite in the Meadow - a place they forget all about each time they incarnate into a new life.

This site is dedicated to "The Meadow", a book of more than 600 pages and has yet to be published, but it is also devoted to sharing information about life beyond the trapdoor of death, inviting the reader to question everything, from dogmatic beliefs to the establishment.

There are many related articles here and we hope that there will be something for everyone. We hope to encourage communication and discussion between likeminded individuals willing to share their experiences to further our common goals of advancement into the future whilst learning from each other.
